| I asked Bobby Thompson to see if he could upgrade my Strat to my version of the Eric Clapton Stratocaster. What I asked him to do is wire the pickguards so I would be able to switch the original pickguard & stock pickups with the upgraded pickups & preamp by using a mini plug installed into each pickguard. Below is a few pictures of the Stratocaster with the new pickguard (designed by me) with Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups, a TBX tone pot (in the middle knob) and the Eric Clapton pre-amp pot installed into the last tone knob. |
